Why Parga Is One Of The Most Favored Holiday Destinations Among Europeans?

Parga is a charming town situated in the province of Epirus, Greece. The town is surrounded with green hills and crystal clear waters. It is a perfect place to spend your holidays together with your family on the beach. It is a haven to those who loves to swim under the sea. It is one of the most favorite destinations among tourists. They also have mouth watering delicacies.

During summer season, Parga is a busy town. The streets are busy. You could find lots of foreigners and tourists around the area. There are also coffee shops on almost every corner of the area. It seems to be one of the most favorite destinations among Italian vacationers since it is just near the Italian coasts. It is within an overnight trip with the ferry from Italy, making it well-situated for the visitors to bring their own automobile to discover and explore the surrounding country. Parga is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Epirus. Because of that, there are various classes of accommodations including luxurious hotels, villas, resorts and local apartments. Moreover, they also have organized camping grounds that you would surely enjoy.

A stroll through the streets of Parga unravels an "island flavor" with of tourist shops and taverns lined up on both sides and the carefree tourists that constantly stroll up and down the narrow corridors. A short walk through the steep streets would take you to the castle that reveals a bird's eye view of the ceramic rooftops of the town, the small beach in its center, and on the other side of the hill a glimpse of the large and very popular Valtos Beach where swimming is best.

Parga is also a strategic location to stay among travelers. Strategic, as I said, because there are a lot of astounding sceneries surrounding the area. Just about 25 minutes from Parga lies the ancient ruins of the Nekromanteio of Acheron. When you go south through the Preveza coast the road takes you through Loutsa, Vrahos. (Vrahos is a popular site among teenagers and young adults because their beaches have lively nightlife and parties with many bars), Riza (quite the opposite of Vrahos since this place is quieter and calm but they also have charming beaches) Kanali, Monolithi (this place is voted among the top 10 favorite beaches in Greece) and through the ancient city of Necropolis and the port of Preveza. Many European vacationers who drive their Mobile Homes (RV) from Italy choose Lygia and Riza beaches for an overnight stop by the beach. From Preveza an underground tunel would take you to Aktio and within a short driving distance from the draw bridge that the Island of Lefkada to the mainland.

Although many choose to vacation in Parga itself, the surrounding areas seem to be popular as well. Within a short driving distance the hushed village of Lichnos with its spectacular beach is very famous for its relaxing atmosphere, and further up the small beach of Ai Giannakis, which is also a haven among extreme water sports lovers. The fjord-like nature of the coast near Parga hides also a number of small beaches that could only be reached by boat, and the beauty of the coast attracts a large number of sea vehicles.
