Planning Your Next Trip Abroad

Everyone needs a holiday now and again. It is nice to take a break from things and relax for a week or two. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a honeymoon or just a family break why not try going abroad.

Some people like to fly abroad while others prefer to take the coach, for example those scared of flying. Flying has its advantages such as speed but the coach also has its up sides such as cost. If you are looking to travel abroad by coach here are a few destinations for you to try.

France.
Getting the ferry to France is a lot easier when you are on a coach as they get priority boarding. Once on the continent you won't have to worry about driving on the wrong side of the road! A popular destination in France is the south coast. It will take about 8 or so hours to get there but you can sleep, chat, read a book or simply watch out the window whilst travelling.

Austria.
Ideal for those of us who want to ski. Getting your skiing equipment on an aeroplane is not much fun for anyone and squeezing it in the car is even worse! Coaches have excessive underneath storage so be assured that it will fit all your gear in.

Italy.
Whether Rome or Venice is your cup of tea you can see them both on a coach trip. Want to buy some souvenirs? Coaches usually drop you off and give you a few hours for you to do your own thing before returning you to your hotel so you can enjoy the sights.

Spain.
If it's gorgeous weather you're after then why not head to Spain? You could try a resort or stay in the heart of a city. Taking in the local scenery and lifestyle is all part of a holiday so make the most of it.

Of course you can go further than just Europe. Lots of countries offer coach tours, just ring the tourist board for information. They are such a good way to see all the sights and take everything in without worrying if you are driving on the correct side of the road, whether you may get lost, or merely concentrating on the road ahead. Not only that but the tour operators do these tours day in day out so they will often take you to places that aren't well known to novice sightseers. Try taking a flight to America and then hopping on a coach from one side of the country to the other and then getting a flight home again. You will see so much more than your average tourist because you will be immersed in the culture rather than being shown the bits they want you to see. Finally the best reason for taking the coach abroad is the company. You will make many new friends and acquaintances on your trip. So next time you think about booking your holiday think about a coach trip first.
