London Tourist attractions preserved

My business partner invited me for a business discussions and completion of a business deal in London. I have been in Holland and France already to complete transactions. I was dying to visit London to compare what I have read in books and hear of it to what I would be seeing in reality. My two reservations I made helped me to get a lot from the City. I booked one hotel in Russell Square and my second week was in London Victoria.

I arrived at the Heathrow international Airport on British airways and after going through the immigration formalities, I took a mini cab and was taken straight to the Tavistock hotel on Tavistock Square in Russell square. The Russell Square in London Bloomsbury has got some good hotels.

I was so fond of the area although that was my first day. I just rushed to town the very day i arrived through the help of my street map. The City was not different from what I have read in books. In Russell Square on my first day, I visited the British library and the British Museum. I moved from the British Museum to the Covent Garden and found a lot of street performers as I have read in books.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. I went to Marble Arch and the Oxford Circus as part of London West End Exploration. The Theatreland or the Leicester Square has a lot of theatres so it is not surprising the area has been named so. I also visited Piccadilly Circus. It was in fact another busy area of London because it is very close to Leicester Square. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The Bond Street, the Regent Street and the Oxford Street are very busy shopping streets but I found the Oxford Street to be the busiest. Not far from Oxford Street is Soho. I stole the opportunity to explore the area.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. I have read a lot about the tourist attractions in the area and wanted to stay and explore. In Victoria area, I continued my tour of London by first going to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the Guard. One Landmark I was itching to see was the Big Ben because I have only seen pictures of it in books. The Houses of Parliament were also at where the Tower clock or the Big Ben is. I also took a trip to the Westminster Abbey at the Parliament Square. I also paid a visit to the London Eye located in the Westminster area. I still wonder how the structure was constructed. Whoever was behind the design of the London Eye should be praised all the time. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square on all my future visits as it has good standard accommodation in London but at lower rates.
